ARTWRX Studio+Gallery Unveils Spring 2025 Art At The Airport Collection
The Comox Valley Airport is excited to collaborate with ARTWRX Studio+Gallery to unveil the Spring 2025 exhibit Coming & Going. The Courtenay-based group has provided over 40 unique works to adorn the walls of the terminal throughout the spring and summer."We're proud to once again host the incredible work of local artists through our partnership with ARTWRX," says Comox Valley Airport CEO Mike Atkins. "Their creativity brings energy and a sense of place to our terminal, offering travelers a glimpse into the vibrant arts community that makes the Comox Valley so special."
"Whether visitors are arriving or departing, the art collection offers people a moment to reflect and connect with local artists," adds gallery manager and artist Sharon LaLonde. "The ARTWRX artists consider it an honour and a privilege to be able to show our work at the Comox Valley Airport. This showing opportunity is one of the many ways in which the airport's team and board of directors demonstrate commitment to the creative community in the Comox Valley."
ARTWRX Studio, previously known as Art Alchemy Studio, is a collective of artists who share a creative space and the journey of art creation. The studio welcomes visitors by appointment and is open for public viewing every Saturday from 11 am to 4 pm.
For art enthusiasts unable to visit in person, a virtual gallery is available on the Comox Valley Airport's website. All displayed pieces are available for purchase through ARTWRX Studio or directly from the artists. This exhibition will be on display until mid-October.
