YQQ - Suspicious Package Found on Aircraft

Authorities responded to a situation at the Comox Valley Airport this morning after an unidentified package was found onboard an aircraft. Flight AC8306, operated by Air Canada Jazz, was to depart YQQ at 6:05 a.m. for Vancouver. Upon observing the unidentified package, operations were halted in order to investigate the situation.

The RCMP along with Military Police were called to assist with the investigation. It was determined the package in question posed no threat and operations were back to normal at approximately 9:15 a.m.
